More Than A Book Club

This space is rooted in something called bibliotherapy, the use of reading as a tool for reflection, healing, and personal growth.

Sometimes, it’s easier to understand ourselves through stories. A line in a book can put words to something we’ve been feeling for years. A character’s experience can help us feel less alone.

In this group, we don’t just read. We slow down, reflect, and gently explore what comes up. Together, we make meaning of the stories we read and the stories we carry.

You don’t have to have the “right” answers or say the “right” things. This is a space for curiosity, connection, and growth.

What is Bibliotherapy?

Bibliotherapy is the intentional use of reading to support emotional insight, self-awareness, and healing. Through guided reflection and discussion, books can become a powerful tool for understanding our thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

In this group, we use a shared book as a starting point for deeper conversation. Rather than focusing on analysis or “getting it right,” we focus on what resonates, what feels meaningful, and what begins to shift within us as we read.

This process can help increase self-understanding, foster connection with others, and create space for new perspectives and growth.
